Ceramic Braces –

In case of ceramic braces, the brackets are made up of clear, tooth colored ceramic material instead of the metal. Self- Ligating Braces –

Self-ligating braces is a combination of metal and ceramic braces that rely on brackets and wires for the alignment of the teeth. The major difference here is that these braces use clips to hold the wires rather than the rubber ties.

Lingual Braces –

Lingual braces are placed behind the teeth and not all the orthodontist are specialized in performing this type of treatment.  These braces stay invisible to other people and provide same customization of the teeth just like any other braces. It is efficient and comes with an added advantage of invisibility.

Clear Aligners –

This is the latest form of Invisalign braces used for the alignment of the teeth. These are clear, transparent and easily removable. They come with a shorter appointment time frame during the treatment process. They should be worn for 22 hours a day and can be removed by self while flossing, brushing, eating and drinking.

Just as technology improves, the convenience also increases. You can choose the type of braces which you like, but it the orthodontist who gets to take the final call which braces will rectify the alignment of your teeth with best results.
