Teeth and systemic diseases
Chronic kidney disease and teeth
Dr. Kishor’s Dentistry team celebrated Diwali 🪔 🪔 🪔 in a meaningful way — with dialysis patients battling chronic kidney disease.
Instead of bursting crackers, our doctors spent time bringing smiles through chess, carrom, and flowers — sharing 48 hours in a sterile environment to understand their lifestyle, offer hope, and spread happiness beyond boundaries. 💙
This celebration also aimed to raise awareness about the vital connection between dental health and dialysis.
Dialysis patients often experience dry mouth (xerostomia), leading to tooth loss, bone loss, calculus buildup, and increased risk of lung infections and bacterial endocarditis if oral care is neglected.
Let’s remember — oral health is an essential part of systemic health.
Spreading light, awareness, and smiles this Diwali ✨ 🪔 🪔 🪔
Most people believe teeth alignment is only for a beautiful smile — but it’s much more than that.
If left untreated, crowded teeth can lead to calculus accumulation, gum disease, and harmful bacteria entering the bloodstream, which may contribute to various systemic health problems.
